Photographing Beautiful Spaces with Michael J. Lee
Posted on February 16, 2012 By nancygoldsteindesign
Last week we had the opportunity to capture one of our recently completed projects for Walter Jacob Architects, Ltd., with Michael J. Lee Photography. The excitement of working with a such a talented professional was apparently mutual, as Michael so kindly wrote in a recent blog post.
The beauty of the project speaks for itself and the final photographs really capture that beauty. We were THRILLED to see the final photos and are excited to share them with you.
The master bathroom speaks of elegance and sophistication with its dual zebra wood vanities with custom sinks, fountain style faucets, vanity mirrors with built-in vertical lighting, beautiful colored glass tiles and a custom-built shower stall.
The client family, with ages ranging from 15 to 55, uses this “Music Room” for playing music and reading. A 16 ft. ceiling and one wall of glass made lighting this space a challenge. We specified a combination of indirect and directional fixtures to provide ambient and task lighting, sourced a custom-made decorative fixture of hanging “moons” above the piano and lit a textural art feature on the wall with a color-changing LED grazing fixture.
Working on this project was challenging and rewarding and we are happy to share the end results with you. Thank you, Michael, for helping us showcase these beautiful spaces.

Such glorious space! I have a hard time relating to most contemporary/modern interiors. Not so with this one.
Cheers,
John
PS: Michael just keeps getting better and better!
